Health Benefits- We all know that the milk is very essential for strength of our bones. From our ancestors we have been listening of adding various ingredients that can be added to milk to make it more healthy. These ingredients are added depending on the time and seasons.
Here are some tips on how to consume milk-
Milk with Honey- Lot of times we see people using honey in replacement of sugar. Honey is very good if consumed as it is or with right ingredients. Never mix honey with hot milk as it becomes toxic and not good for health. Use honey only if milk is at room temperature or cold.
Milk with Turmeric- This milk is considered as a immunity booster and helps our body to fight against illness. It also helps to balance water in our body, so it is very useful during cold. Always consume turmeric milk warm.
Milk with Masala Powder- Masala powder is basically a ground blend of dry fruits, sugar and spices which increases health benefits of milk. Consume a glass of warm milk with milk masala powder in the night to get sound sleep. A good quality and right proportion of nutmeg powder in this masala helps to calm, relax and get sound sleep.

2 cups Organic Almonds
1 cup Organic Cashews
3/4 cup Organic Full Pistachios or 1/2 cup broken Pistachios
20-25 Organic green cardamoms
1/2 cup Organic sugar
1 tablespoon Organic fennel seeds (saunf)
1 tablespoon Organic nutmeg powder
1 teaspoon Saffron strands
1/2 tablespoon Organic turmeric powder
1 teaspoon Organic black pepper
Instructions:
Step 1: Heat a pan. Dry roast all ingredients separately for 4-5 minutes on a low flame. Remove and keep aside in a plate or bowl.
Step 2: Once the dry fruits cool down, then take 1/3rd almonds in a dry grinder jar and grind to a fine powder. Take out in a pot.
As cashews release oil while grinding, mix remaining almonds and grind to a fine powder. If you have a small dry grinder jar, then grind in batches. Take out in the same pot.
Similarly grind pistachios. Take out in the same pot.
Then take green cardamoms, sugar, fennel seeds (saunf) & saffron strands and grind to a fine powder. Take out in the same pot.
Step 3: Now take nutmeg powder, turmeric powder and black pepper powder and add to all ground powders. Mix everything thoroughly with a spatula. Take an airtight container of jar and put all the masala milk powder in it. Store in the fresh room section of the fridge.
Take a tablespoon of masala milk powder for a glass of hot milk or chilled milk. Add sugar as per taste. Stir and your yummy masala milk is ready! 🙂
