How to crochet Pineapple stitch, it is a thick stitch so very popular for stoles and shawls with lightweight yarn. In this post we will see how to crochet Pineapple stitch with step-by-step photos, Instruction card (which includes written pattern and diagram) and video tutorial.
Pineapple stitch, as the name suggests this stitch looks like a pineapple. In previous post we saw how to crochet Soft Cluster, this Pineapple stitch is thicker than soft cluster but still somewhat flat compared to Bobble stitch.

Abbreviations used:
Description:
Make chain multiple of 2 plus 4. For tutorial I have made 24 chains.
First Row: sk 3 ch, Pineapple- *yo, insert hook in next ch, draw up a loop*
we have 9 loops on hook, yo draw up yarn through first 8 loops then again yo and draw through the last 2 loops. This completes one Pineapple stitch.
Ch 1, sk 1 ch. Again make a pineapple then Ch 1, sk 1, similarly complete the row.
Repeating Row: Ch 3, *1 pineapple in ch space between two pineapples below, ch 1, sk pineapple below* repeat * to * throughout the row, make a pineapple at the end in ch space of turning ch.
Make the repeating Row till the desired number of rows.
